Hypotheses under investigation

Beyond the lead dermatitis programme, the company describes two research hypotheses for JEL0305. Both remain to be validated clinically.

JEL0305

Inflammation reactivation and recurrence

The company’s prevention page proposes that blocking re-activation of p38α could be relevant to the recurrence of inflammatory flares, and illustrates this with cellular and biopsy figures.

Prevention of recurrence in patients has not been established. The concept is presented here as a hypothesis.

JEL0305

Chronic inflammation and skin ageing

The skin ageing page frames a potential role for JEL0305 around chronic, low-grade inflammation, and expressly anticipates future clinical testing.

Any effect on skin ageing is therefore a research objective, not a demonstrated outcome.
